Since the conception of Pas de Chit-Chat in the Spring of 2020, the world has changed drastically. Within the dance community, we've had to reconstruct our professions due to Covid-19, adapting to safety protocols, social distancing and virtual experiences. We've had long overdue conversations about racism in our art form. On top of that: political instability, financial uncertainty and all else that we imply when we say, "everything going on right now."

To state the obvious, the pandemic has been particularly tough on dancers. However, we are adaptable, flexible, open and creatively minded. Seeing how dancers, choreographers and artists worldwide have navigated 2020 has been incredibly inspiring.

For the last month of 2020, Pas de Chit-Chat will be celebrating the dancers of 2020. As a member of this class, I admit that I'm biased, but we have really persevered! In our final semester, we were forced to transfer to "Zoom University" and take class from our bedrooms, then miss out on in-person performances and a graduation and then get hurled out into a "real" world that looked completely different from the one we had just spent 4+ years preparing for. So December is dedicated to us! Our Conversations and Dancer Spotlights this month will highlight the dancers of 2020.

I'm very excited to finally reboot Pas de Chit-Chat after a longer-than-expected hiatus. The site will expand with new types of content, more voices and of course, the conversations will continue.

Please feel free to contact me with questions, comments or suggestions, as I'm always looking to include others and cater to what interests you!
