Dancers in Quarantine

Since March 11th, USC has hosted all of our classes online. This posed a unique challenge for all of the arts schools and in particular, us as dance majors. I know that personally, the shift from spending 12+ hours a day dancing in the studio to spending hours on our video calling platform, Zoom has been drastic.

Today, I spoke with senior dance majors, Jake Tribus, Olivia Gieringer, Rachel Harris and Brendan Evans, about how COVID-19 has affected the dance community. How have they been coping in quarantine? How have they seen it affect the dancers? And how do they hope this global event will change dance world?

Below I have included links to some resources for dancers (many of which were mentioned in our discussion), including Instagram handles of the participants.
